HISTORY
Rise Up Basketball Program was founded in 2021 by Cass Rufus, father, coach, and educator. Rufus has taught youth in a variety of ways since 2001. His dream has always been to create a relationship-based basketball program for young women to realize their own dreams and compete at the highest level. Cass Rufus has been an elementary teacher for 21 years and currently resides in Elmhurst and has three daughters.

It was clear to me from the start that building relationships is the most essential way to increase performance. Heart, passion, and determination will win you more games than the X's and O's. You will create a team that embraces hardship, believes in great personal character, and strives to elevate one another instead of solely for their own gain.
