Being a member of a travel team is time-consuming and demanding for everyone involved. We emphasize the value of family, religion, education, and the development of our players at all levels of our club.
Our first goal and the cornerstone of our mission is family. Nothing is more important to us than the friendship formed between our players and their extended RISE UP family. It is critical for everyone to be "rowing in the same direction" and for everyone to get along. If you require assistance, we are here to assist you, and communication is critical for everyone.
Our players and parents must recognize the critical nature of schoolwork. Excellent marks in school are expected and will be monitored on a regular basis by our coaching staff. We emphasize this point because we want our players to understand what it means to be a STUDENT athlete and how it will affect them both now and in the future. The ultimate goal is to earn a scholarship, but without grades (regardless of how talented you are), this is impossible.
Playing a team sport teaches you how to get along with your teammates and other members of your community. When you are the strongest link, how you treat the weakest link will be a true reflection of your character.
